Changing Lives
Ajit Foundation promotes free, quality education for economically disadvantaged children, focusing on reintegrating out-of-school children into the mainstream education system. Through our Snehgram Residential School in Solapur and Shrujanalay hostel in Pune, we provide education and accommodation to children in need. These initiatives create a nurturing environment where children can grow and thrive. We actively collaborate with parents, communities, school officials, and education departments to garner support for children’s education. By bridging the education gap and advocating for the importance of education, we aim to transform lives and build a brighter future. SNEHAGRAM
Democratic School
Snehgram serves as a refuge for children from marginalized communities, including those affected by beggary, single parenthood, economic hardship, and other vulnerabilities, especially from the underdeveloped regions of Marathwada and Solapur, Maharashtra. It also supports children from Scheduled Castes, Tribes, and Denotified Tribes, providing them with education, care, and opportunities to break the cycle of poverty.

Srujanalaya fosters a democratic hostel management system where students actively participate in decision-making, with major decisions approved by a "Parliament" monthly. The hostel offers practical learning, banking, study committees, and simulations of civic processes like elections and city council meetings. Activities like shopping trips and discussions at "Vachan Katta" and "Srijan Katta" aim to develop students' talents and promote personal growth.

EMPOWERING EDUCATION AT THE DEMOCRATIC SCHOOL
At Srujanalay, we prioritize children's health by providing nutritious meals and monitoring their well-being. Through initiatives like the Children’s Parliament and Student’s Council, we teach democratic values, governance, and problem-solving, empowering students to make decisions collectively.
FOSTERING EMPATHY AND COMMUNITY
We foster empathy and community through exposure visits to markets and banks, teaching real-world transactions and budgeting. Initiatives like Srujan Kart and kitchen gardening offer hands-on learning, empowering children to develop practical life skills.
STEM
Lab On Bike Program
The STEM Lab on a Bike (SLoB) program revolutionizes science education by bringing hands-on learning directly to students. This innovative initiative involves a mobile science lab, containing all the necessary apparatus for conducting science experiments, transported on a bike to various schools.

​Initiated in 2022, the SLoB program has become an invaluable resource for students, providing them with the opportunity to actively engage in scientific exploration. Under the guidance of an instructor, students not only observe science experiments but also handle the apparatus themselves, gaining practical experience and broadening their perspective on scientific concepts.
​
Currently, the SLoB program is making a difference in Zhilla Parishad Schools located in Sawantwadi, Mahagaon, Korfale, and Kavhe villages in Barshi taluka of Solapur district, as well as schools in Maval taluka of Pune district. By bringing science education directly to students’ doorsteps, the SLoB program is making learning more accessible and engaging for students across different regions.
